addedAfter thousands of hours of gameplay in A New Fire, we realized that the current direction for the game mechanics (not the story) needed a major overhaul. In response to this need, we have brought on a seasoned game designer who will be taking over Donavan's role on the development of the project. Donavan will still be involved in the community aspect of the team. The classes will be changed as well making the game more consistent. We have hired Mikolaj Marcisz to fix our gameplay balance and have brought on Hans Yianaridis to assist in side quest content and stories. You are able to access the beta branch on your own by right clicking on The Ember Series: A New Fire and going to properties. Under the BETA branch, you can select testing - In House Testing. Just be aware that this will break your existing saves for certain. You will be able to experience some of the new quest and the new overworld map experience, however, the gameplay is just not up to the task. The game is frankly too hard and doesn't scale well in its current state. I know the wait has been WAY too long since our last update, but at least by accessing the beta branch, you can experience what we are working on it. We are online and actively working on the project. Please continue to connect with us and give your feedback. It is because of you all and your playing experience that has helped us get to his direction now. The wait will be long, but we promise it will be worth it. We would rather there be a little bit longer delay and deliver an excellent build for you all than to keep throwing band-aids on the problem. The gameplay required extensive surgery, not band-aids to fix the problem, so we are in surgery right now. We were asked by multiple fans of the game if the feature where there are separate quest line for each class would still be available. This is for us, one of the major draws to the game, so yes, we will be keeping this feature still. We have included some pictures to give you all a glimpse of the gameplay mechanics and some new content as well. I know this has been frustrating for you folks, but trust us, it has been equally so for us as well. We are committed as every to bringing you an amazing project!
