This is CM “Cat Box” from The DeadLine development team.

To improve game quality and the overall player experience, we will be collecting gameplay logs through Unity Analytics as outlined below.

🗓️ Data Collection Period

From July 25th until the end of Unity Analytics' data retention period, gameplay logs will be collected via Unity Analytics.

🧭 Purpose of Collection

  • To improve game balance

  • To analyze player flow and improve in-game systems

📜 Privacy Policy

The DeadLine (hereinafter referred to as "the game") values your personal information and collects and processes user data in accordance with relevant laws and platform policies. Installing or using the game constitutes your agreement to these terms.

This policy is disclosed via an external link labeled “Privacy Policy” on the bottom-left corner of the game screen.

1. Information Collected

1-1. Automatically Collected via Unity Analytics

The game uses Unity Technologies' Unity Analytics SDK to automatically collect the following data:

  • Steam Account Identifier: Internal ID used via Steamworks to distinguish users

  • Device Information: OS, screen resolution, device model, etc.

  • Language and Region: System language and IP-based region

  • Basic Gameplay Data: Session start/end times, click events, etc.

These are collected automatically by Unity Analytics SDK, and the development team cannot personally identify users from this data.

1-2. In-Game Custom Event Logs

During gameplay, specific custom events are logged as defined by the developers:

✅ 1. Overall Progress Data

  • Campaign mode progress

  • Campaign clear time

  • Infinite mode progress

✅ 2. Weapon Acquisition Summary

  • Total number of weapons obtained

✅ 3. Skill Investment Summary

  • Total skill points invested

※ These logs are used solely for gameplay analysis and improvement. No personally identifiable information such as name, email, or contact details is collected.

2. Purpose of Use

Collected data is used for the following purposes:

  • Bug fixing and improving game stability

  • Analyzing game flow, difficulty, and repetition for user experience optimization

3. Retention Period

Data is managed on Unity Analytics’ servers and retained for up to 6 months, after which it is automatically deleted.

All data is stored in an anonymized statistical format, making it extremely difficult to track or identify individual users.

4. Third-Party Sharing & Delegation

Collected data is not shared externally and is only analyzed through Unity Analytics, operated by Unity Technologies.

All storage and processing are handled automatically on Unity Technologies’ global servers. No separate outsourcing or third-party storage is used.

5. User Rights

As the game does not store personally identifiable information, it is not possible to request access, correction, or deletion of such information.

However, gameplay data such as scores, settings, and progress are stored locally on the user’s device or linked to the platform (e.g., Steam) account. Deletion of this data can be done by resetting local storage or following the platform’s policies.

6. International Data Transfer

Gameplay logs are stored on Unity Analytics’ global cloud servers (e.g., in North America).

Some collected information may be transferred abroad and is protected in accordance with Unity’s Privacy Policy.

7. Use of Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This game does not use browser cookies.

However, session and device data may be collected via Unity Analytics
