The Dawning Clocks Of Time - Director's Cut changes
The Dawning Clocks of Time (Original) has been updated to the Director's Cut!
For game preservation purposes, we've updated the game to include the 'Director's Cut' materials, that was cut from the planned Remaster before we released REMAKE.
We have restored content that was cancelled for the 'Remastered version'. The starting area of Maine has been restored which resembles the areas in the 3D Remake which was used instead, along with the animated Sanctuary City sets as shown in the trailer for the cancelled Remastered DLC.
One of the main critiques of the game before this restored version was the over-expanse of the starting area, the new Maine is much quicker to get through now without missing any story elements and matches the novel narrative much closer than before.
We have now future proofed for compatibility with dgVoodoo Wrapper, which significantly improves stability, performance (no longer single threaded) and rendering, with the ability to change display settings from the included utility.
Updates to the Windows NT Kernel in Windows 11 24H2 made the game no longer launch at all. This new version fixes that.
