So does it work on the Steam Deck?

SImple answer: Yes Longer answer: The game runs smoothly on the 'Deck because there's a Linux build specifically for it. Text can be small but I think it's still all legible.

changedText can be small but I think it's still all legible. If not, there's always the magnifier (Steam button -> L1)
addedYou'll need to enable the keyboard when creating a new boxer (Steam button -> X).
changedI haven't released a Linux version of the demo so that doesn't work on the Steam Deck. It'll seem to but it'll then fail when it tries to install WebView2.

SImple answer: Yes

Longer answer:

  1. The game runs smoothly on the 'Deck because there's a Linux build specifically for it.

  2. Text can be small but I think it's still all legible. If not, there's always the magnifier (Steam button -> L1)

  3. You'll need to enable the keyboard when creating a new boxer (Steam button -> X).

Just a couple of caveats...

  1. Controls on the Steam Deck: You have to use the right pad and either click that or use Left Trigger to select. It works really smoothly though.

  2. At the moment Steam Achievements don't trigger on the Steam Deck. Don't ask me why. I'll try and resolve this before release but sorry, no promises, as I've made absolutely no progress on this in spite of spending many hours on it.

  3. I haven't released a Linux version of the demo so that doesn't work on the Steam Deck. It'll seem to but it'll then fail when it tries to install WebView2.

I love playing the game on the Steam Deck and I really hope you will to!
