The Classrooms 0.6.5 Update
We’re excited to share our latest update! This update focuses on engine improvements, performance boosts, and a host of new settings to help you fine-tune your experience. Check out the highlights below:
1. Engine Upgrade & Stability Improvements
New Engine Version: Upgraded to a more stable and feature-rich engine—this is also the version we’re using for our upcoming multiplayer update. Expect smoother performance and enhanced stability across the game!
2. Graphics Settings Overhaul
Quality Presets: Quickly select between Low, Medium, High, Ultra, and a specialized Steam Deck preset optimized for handheld play.
Advanced Customization: Fine-tune your visuals with individual graphics options, including:
LOD Bias
Shadow Resolution
Ambient Occlusion
Screen Space Reflections & Shadows
Subsurface Scattering
Texture Quality & Texture Streaming

3. Performance Enhancements
- New LODs for PropsWe’ve introduced multiple Levels of Detail to props, substantially improving performance in The Poolrooms and all other Tapes.
Optimized Tapes: Further tweaks and optimizations yield better frame rates throughout every Tape.
Improved Vent Culling: Enhances performance in areas with heavy vent usage.
4. World & Content Updates
Interactable Props: Many additional objects now feature physics-based interactions for greater immersion.
Lockers in Poolrooms: Keep an eye out for loot in lockers—you never know what you might find.
Playrooms Lighting Overhaul: Enjoy a more atmospheric experience with revamped lighting.
Improved Models: Various levels now showcase upgraded models for a crisper and more polished look.
5. Bug Fixes & Tweaks
Fixed Centipede Footstep Sounds
Resolved Missing Stairwell Wall
Removed Santa Hat for certain entities during non-holiday death cutscenes
Corrected Glitchy Wall Lamps in Library
Fixed Floating Light Switch in certain bathroom tiles
Anti-Gravity Objects Bug Squashed
Removed Redundant Splash Screen
Fixed mic bar occasionally not detecting footsteps and physics sounds
6. New Features & User Options
Profanity Filter: Toggle on to replace strong language with safer alternatives.
Reset to Default Settings: Roll back all settings to their original state if needed.
