The Cauldron Kids: The Summoning of Mr. Vermicelli changes
Hi there!
We hope you’re doing well and that you had an awesome Pride Month! 🌈🧡
July is Disability Pride Month and, for the occasion, we wanted to chat about some features you may see in our little game The Cauldron Kids - let’s go!
Accessibility is important to our team, so we did our best when developing our game to incorporate it as much as we could.
The Cauldron Kids being a heavily narrative game, we added options to make all these dialogues (and quirky interactables!) more readable: you can turn the text animations off, choose from three dialogue speed options, and go for a non-pixel sans serif font!
Look at this pretty & functional accessibility menu with the non-pixel font! It's even Mr Vermicelli-approved 🐸
To make the game sensorily calmer, you can also turn the UI animations off, reduce camera shake and motion sickness through toggles.
In-between dialogues, the game is paced by minigames. We wanted them to be fun little challenges for those who want them to be, and at the same time we wanted them to be just as enjoyable if you want or need easier minigames - you can choose from the accessibility section of the settings menu!

Are there accessibility features you enjoy and/or need in games? Feel free to reply in the comments! We’d love to know what your tastes and needs are :3
Wishing you all an amazing Disability Pride Month!
Take care 🧡
