The Caretaker Changelog 0.1.08

Good Evening All, Below are the changes/fixes made in 0.1.08: All non mini-boss enemies have had their audio updated. Slither Worm mechanic change: ---Now leaves a poison trail behind it as it moves around the area.

removedMelee Spider mechanic change: --- Bite animation has been removed. --- "Leg stab" has been put in place. --- Spider now "skitters" across the area, moving in a more aggressive fashion. --- Speed has been increased.
removedWolf Pup mechanic change: --- Wolf pup no longer "breaths fire". In place is a fire well that persists on the ground for a set amount of time. This will "burn" the player if touched (but not if rolled through).
addedZombies now have a randomizer for their movement animation times. This should make multiple spawns not look they are walking/running in unison.
changedWolf Mini Boss mechanic change: ---Now Enrages at less that 25% health causing it to spawn more pups and surround itself with wire. Being bit in this state will burn the player.
changedAddress some reports of "breath" attacks going through large obstacles. - Test fix for "Rolling" issue. User reports stating that sometimes the player cannot change weapon, shoot or reload after rolling.

  • All non mini-boss enemies have had their audio updated.

  • Slither Worm mechanic change: ---Now leaves a poison trail behind it as it moves around the area. Crossing this trail will poison the player (unless rolled over)

  • Melee Spider mechanic change--- Bite animation has been removed. --- "Leg stab" has been put in place. --- Spider now "skitters" across the area, moving in a more aggressive fashion. --- Speed has been increased.
  • Wolf Pup mechanic change: --- Wolf pup no longer "breaths fire". In place is a fire well that persists on the ground for a set amount of time. This will "burn" the player if touched (but not if rolled through).

  • Zombies now have a randomizer for their movement animation times. This should make multiple spawns not look they are walking/running in unison.

  • Wolf Mini Boss mechanic change: ---Now Enrages at less that 25% health causing it to spawn more pups and surround itself with wire. Being bit in this state will burn the player.

  • Maggot Mini Boss mechanic change: --- Tentacle Whip replaced with Claw Swipe --- Spawns 3 maggots when vomiting instead of 1 --- When vomiting, a poison mass is spawned. This mass will expand and persist for a set amount of time. Touching this mass will poison the player (unless rolled over)

  • Address some reports of "breath" attacks going through large obstacles. - Test fix for "Rolling" issue. User reports stating that sometimes the player cannot change weapon, shoot or reload after rolling.
