The Caretaker changes
Ahoy!
Hopefully you are all well in this weird and scary global climate.
Play Tests have finally been implemented for The Caretaker. I have spent a good amount of time in isolation working on this title, but its time to let others in to rock the boat.
I will be uploading builds all the way until release day (sorry, still undetermined, but not TOO far off). But before then, I need you to help me make it the best that it can be.
Initially these builds will not be the completed game. I will be starting with the testing of the core mechanics namely "Player Control, and Enemy Engagement". After we get it right, we will move on to gameplay pacing and harder enemy mechanics.
I can think of no better way to start off the Play Tests than with access to all of the Survival Scenes in the game. All Survival Scenes will be unlocked so you can start to see the main theme and how the player engages with the numerous enemies you'll encounter. From the survival builds, I hope to tweak enemy mechanics as well as mini boss mechanics as well.
*Note - As player controls are not finalized, please see the post HERE for current mappings
Any and all feedback can be posted in the Play Test Discussion forum OR in the #build-feedback channel in Discord (https://discord.gg/mzBf6GC)
To all of you... Thank you in advance for your time, feedback and understanding. Creating an engaging game isn't easy and your feedback and reporting will allow me to make it the best that it can be.
Regards,
Squid Monkey Studios
