New route section in the work-in-progress video

Watch here!

Many players of The Bus DLC – Hamburg City have been eagerly waiting for it: the Alsterdorf bus depot. This request has repeatedly been brought to us by the community, as such a depot is not only an exciting detail for the map, but also plays an important role for upcoming features.

Now we can finally give you a first look at this new area, which is currently being developed step by step.

To connect it in the future, a new road section of around 1 km has been created. It links the area around Eichenlohweg—where, among other things, line 277 operates and which is characterized by the distinctive Famila supermarket—directly to the depot.

What may sound like a relatively short section at first glance actually has a lot to offer: in addition to the Alsterdorf depot itself, the Rübenkamp S-Bahn station has been fully recreated. Furthermore, the extensive construction site for the new U5 subway line in the Hebebrandstraße area has been depicted in great detail, reflecting a major part of Hamburg’s current cityscape.

The new work-in-progress video shows this first section in motion and provides a good impression of how the route network is being expanded in this area. In addition, you will find more current development screenshots of this section in this news post. As usual, the scenes shown represent a work-in-progress state and may still change before the final version.

This section is not only a visual milestone: with the integration of the depot, a key requirement for the upcoming economy mode—planned for the Hamburg DLC—is being established.

The subsequent route sections are already in development and in some cases quite advanced. Once the full route from the depot to Bramfelder Dorfplatz has been completed and line 17 has been extended accordingly, the testing phase will begin. A specific release date has not yet been set, but completion is steadily approaching.

An important note regarding future planning: only once the depot has been integrated into the PC version—and with it the introduction of the economy mode—can the full Hamburg expansion be implemented for consoles. With the release of the new route, development for PlayStation and Xbox versions will therefore begin.

You can also look forward to another video coming soon, which will showcase one of the next route sections in detail.

The content shown is from the current stage of development and may change before the final version.
