The Book of Aaru changes
This quick follow-up to our last update focuses on balancing previously introduced features, polishing audio and UI elements, refining enemy behavior, and fixing important bugs in portal zones and monster logic.
Polish
Mouse navigation in the Material Bank Altar menu is now smoother – no more twitching when hovering over material icons from below.
Added a sound effect for fireball projectile destruction.
Lowered the volume of Mourning Sister attacks.
Tweaked trap sounds (spike trap, rotating trap).
UI sounds now play correctly from both sides of stereo output.
More natural idle rotation for enemies in most scenes.
Reduced monster group size in one arena on Level 1 of the Temple of Discovery to prevent a difficulty spike.
Increased bonus material droppers in Level 1 of the Caves of Despair, where props are harder to find.
Made the charging effect for the first heavy attack in a combo more visible.
Bug Fixes
Secret dimensions behind portals are now safe to navigate and no longer cause instant death in certain levels.
Fixed an issue where monster packs could freeze mid-fight until one enemy was defeated.
