The Bloodline changes
Hello, harbingers!
Milo here. I know it’s been a bit longer between updates - my apologies! With a lot going on across development, production, and my personal life, the Elemental Rebirth update got pushed back a couple of times. With the sheer number of skills being added and refined, plus a boatload of bug fixes and optimizations, the QA scope for this update is pretty staggering. Rest assured, the update isn’t far off now!
In the meantime, I figured I could give a little update and teasers for what’s to come. Steam post image
Development Update
Things have been going smoothly! I’ve been having an absolute BLAST making new skills for the elemental magic trees! This is my bread and butter. I love making weird, fun, and satisfying skills. Skills, in my opinion, are the backbone of the game, and this update will lean heavily into that.
For those who have been wanting more skill slots on the skill bar - I hear you! The dynamic skill bar is still in the works. It won’t be coming in the next update, as it’s a complex system that requires lots and lots of work. But it is a priority. 😁 Steam post image
Another element that’s always high-priority is bug fixes, of course! This next update will have plenty of bug fixes and optimizations.
Lastly, a big, big task that has taken up lots of dev time is setting up localization. This has been a massive task and has consumed a lot of my dev time! Luckily, it’s just about ready.
Dev personal update
I find that giving a peek behind the dev curtain helps keep things in perspective. For many people, buying an early access game is about supporting development. And that’s absolutely true. But you’re doing so much more than that! My main goal with The Bloodline was to make enough money to start a family. Thankfully, with all of your support, I was able to have the peace of mind to start one. My wife and I are now expecting our second child. Thank you all for your continued support of my game. You’ve helped me achieve my dream of releasing a game, starting a family and fostering a community that I’m proud of.
