The B.L.O.O.M Initiative changes
[dynamiclink href="https://youtu.be/UVxgRpQteJ8"]Bloom Initiative has growing a new rogue-lite survival mode
First level is out, Bloom Initiative is expanding with a faster, more arcade-style survival mode inspired by games like Vampire Survivors and Brotato — while keeping the feel of piloting a ship with momentum through a dangerous alien world.
In this new mode, the player ship is dropped into a hostile alien-infested map with no base to hide behind. Survival depends on movement, momentum, weapons, temporary upgrades, and smart decisions under pressure.
Enemies build pressure around the player over time. Swarms emerge from the map, burrows produce new threats, tougher aliens drop rewards, and a boss encounter waits near the end of the run.
What the rogue-lite mode adds
Timed alien waves and escalating enemy pressure
Random, close-range, and edge-based alien spawning
XP and level-up progression during each run
Temporary combat power-ups
Rainbow reward drops from tougher aliens
Boss chest rewards
Gold collection for permanent upgrades
Ship upgrades and long-term progression
A 15-minute survival structure with a boss encounter
This mode is still work in progress, but the goal is to add a new repeatable survival loop to Bloom Initiative: collect XP, grab power-ups, earn gold, unlock permanent upgrades, improve your ship, and try to push further next time.
More details will be shared as development continues.
