removedWe would have been past halfway by now, but we have one early scene that is proving quite troublesome with being rendered by the batch renderer. There are over 200 images to render, and there's something in the scene that is kicking up a stink. So that's on my to-do list to go back and remove the pesky thing so I can batch render and forget about it.
changedWhilst my PC has been rendering, I have been investigating different animation techniques. Originally, all the animation done in The Artist was done natively in DAZ. Now, if you've ever used DAZ to render, you'll know that it's a pain in the arse. I've landed on a piece of software that works with DAZ relatively easily, and with a few test scenes and getting the hang of the workspace, I am super happy with the results. I am able to animate A LOT of things in less than half the time it would have taken me in DAZ, and with much more realistic results, including an IK system that actually works!
changedOur progress graph has now been updated to show the current stage. Totally forgot to update that last week so it's been out of date for longer than I realised! All is well now though :)

Hey guys!

To kick things off this week with our development update, I'm going to dive right in and say it's been another incredible and productive week. I've had some time off work, and I've used that time wisely... by working none-stop on The Artist We are now just a few poses shy from being halfway through!

We have been approached by a translator, who has kindly offered to translate The Artist into Chinese. This was only a few days ago, and he is already working his way through Act One. We hope that this will make The Artist more accesible for more and more players across the world - an amazing feeling in itself!

That's all for this week. Looking to have another productive week in the one to come and should have smashed the halfway mark by the time I update you guys again :)
