The Ardron Universe changes
JAN 1/4/26 EDIT:
I noticed a bug that wouldn't let you go forward in the new quiz.
Patched that. sent out an update for the demo :)
Also stress tested the game on a virtual machine. Windows 10 2 GB of DDR4 RAM 2 core CPU 258mb of VRAM 5200RPM HDD
It loaded, and made it to the AoA player game side in 4.87 seconds. If the game don't run. your OS don't run.
That's all. Toodles! oh uh. I never say that.
===============
Alrighty. Quick Run down of what i've done. Even though holidays stopped me a lot, and i'm not supposed to work in December.
:D Who cares!
So, when we last left off I was working on Homebrew creation.
👍 Got that all done. You can now create Homebrew in engine.
ALSO. for those who don't want to make a ko-fi account just to unlock homebrew? It's now available in the in game shop. for... 666 coins. Yeah that'll take a while to get.
It's priced that way so you actually know the game well enough to justify actually using the thing.
The in game currency? Not MTX. just a currency for playing to unlock more things. A remnant of older games, and players of the retired Ashes of Arcanum, seemed to enjoy the in game cash shop style of things (probably cause it didn't cost real money) but what evs.
Speaking of the Retired AoA game. Yeah. i still use it. I now update it with...things :) There is a code hidden in the old game. as such an update has been sent out on that
OTHER FUN THINGS
I've added more codes to the game to find (including the prior)
as well as the overseer's eyes can be found in screens now. finding said eyes grants you a coin. as well as achievements also give you coins now.
If I'm going to have a shop system. i might as well make it fun 🤷
Uhhh what else.
Fixed a couple bugs on the player side. - but no one can play the game right now so thats moot.
Updated the quiz to ask for more information to make the game client actually yours. and updated the end screen results so its not just an ugly block of text.
Slowed down the transition so you can read what was said lol.
Did more work on the classes needed to play, and did some light work on the GM side of things.
but anyways. yeah mostly what i worked on setting up Homebrew. good waste of my time :)
ALSO. were not on native Linux any longer. Why? Because fullscreen on Linux is jank, and it would hurt Graces Lament, and Echos of Aria for input reasons, and frames and what not. SO. I've extensively tested AU on Proton 9. It runs smoother than native Linux. so Linux is depreciated(butnotreally) so yeah.
Even though I main Linux, but hey Gaben knows best. Use LInux...Just run games through Proton 👍
Here's a list of everything left i have to do for AoA remastered.
We also changed the studio name. so THAT'S FUN The old studio name came from old friends. I decided to go with something a little more personal. a massive amount of my "to do" list here is mostly spells... i still have the framework from old AoA, so it wont take long? hopefully? I might get creative. Shouldn't take long
SIDE NOTE: i post all work updates(and early access builds) on the 3rd of the month.
Update: Now that it's the 3rd. I already have the UI for the NPC gen, Loot gen, and Hostile generator already done. i work fast sometimes.
