The 52 Fragments changes
It's been a little while since my last proper patch notes update. Each update to The 52 Fragments often includes unseen bug fixes, however update 18.2 has quite a few. I am consolidating all of the patch notes from 13.03 to current.
Bugs
Fixed a bug where returning to the main menu will lock the cursor.
Fixed several issues with rendering realtime lights, particularly pixel lights.
Fixed a bug where the 13th fragment would not detect a CD drive properly. A related bug where the game would not detect a floppy drive correctly on some hardware architecture is currently determined to be unfixable due to limitations of the ManagementObjectSearcher in System.Management, a part of .NET.
Made the "dark" version of Fragment 16 about 15% sadder.
Fixed a bug which would cause the first window in the 13th fragment to not spawn.
Fixed a bug where the Speed of Light object in Fragment 11 would fling the player into the void (which was pretty hilarious, tbh)
Fixed a bug regarding file parsing in Fragment 03.
Fixed a bug causing gimbal lock in Fragment 10.
Fixed a couple of sound bugs.
Content
Added and removed many objects across multiple fragments as a result of ███ █████.
Added easter eggs, including one specific to the youtuber Shesez, who is nonetheless unlikely to play my game.
Removed Fragment 14 in its entirety based on the cumulative votes of participants of the phone survey in Fragment 12.
Implemented multiple secret 'codes' into Fragment 4 which have various effects, such as code 081026.
Framework changes
Re-implemented Mono backend from IL2CPP in order to allow System.Management to function properly, as, per Unity, "IL2CPP does not support System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager".
Major changes to the character controller set to allow for more types of controllers to interface with it and, hopefully, provide full controller support soon.
Some small metrics
The Computer in Fragment 02 has been dealt a cumulative 7,314 units of pain.
6,322 proposals have been approved, and 5,981 have been rejected.
Players have traveled a cumulative 1.2 trillion kilometers in Fragment 11.
During the phone survey portion of Fragment 12, I personally received 48 phone calls.
The most common fear as reported by players is 'spiders', followed closely by 'being alone'.
