changedThank You All – What a Wild Start! We wanted to give all of the players who gave us a chance a massive thank you. When we first started advertising That One Otter Game , we never expected to reach such a big audience, and we're still trying to wrap our minds around it!
changedThank You All – What a Wild Start!Optimization and bug fixing:
changedThank You All – What a Wild Start! We have heard and read about performance issues and lack of graphics settings, and we apologize for anyone having a bad experience with the game so far. It's an oversight on our end, and we never really got the time or chance to test the game on lower end rigs. When it comes to high end rigs experiencing heavy stutters, we are currently investigating it in order to release a patch ASAP! ✨
addedThank You All – What a Wild Start! That One Otter Game , as it has already been shipped, will probably mostly remain the same when it comes to in-game content. We wanted an experience that you can enjoy on the fly. Taking in consideration that we are a very small team of newly graduates, we do no want the game's scope to overwhelm us. That being said, we are open to (and planning) on adding some more content left and right! We will communicate about it in due time on our socials. For now, our main goal is to give every player a premium experience of TOOG before thinking of adding anything new to the game. Steam achievements might be on the way too!😉
changedThank You All – What a Wild Start! We are working as hard as we can behind the scene to deliver the content you all deserve and will keep you updated along the way. We hope we'll continue receiving your support!

Thank You All – What a Wild Start!

Hello everyone, dev team here.

We wanted to give all of the players who gave us a chance a massive thank you. When we first started advertising That One Otter Game, we never expected to reach such a big audience, and we're still trying to wrap our minds around it!

We've seen your enthusiasm, your love, but your complaints as well and wanted to address them:

  • Online multiplayer:

Online Multiplayer has been highly requested, through social media and Steam reviews. We apologize for it not being available on release. We actually never expected our game to get this far and didn't think that so many people around the world wanted to actively play with long distance friends. But we've heard you, and our programmers are working on it. In the meantime, we activated Steam Remote Play (which hadn't activated before for some reason ?..) to make it easier to still enjoy local coop from afar. (And hopefully it stays on this time, and if not you can use Parsec!)

  • Saving your progress:

Saving progress and settings wasn't implemented in the game because we all thought of it as a one shot game that you boot up and finish in one go, but people are asking for the ability to save the game so we will definitely take a look at it once bigger issues have been tackled!

  • Optimization and bug fixing:

We have heard and read about performance issues and lack of graphics settings, and we apologize for anyone having a bad experience with the game so far. It's an oversight on our end, and we never really got the time or chance to test the game on lower end rigs. When it comes to high end rigs experiencing heavy stutters, we are currently investigating it in order to release a patch ASAP! ✨

  • Content addition:

That One Otter Game, as it has already been shipped, will probably mostly remain the same when it comes to in-game content.

We are working as hard as we can behind the scene to deliver the content you all deserve and will keep you updated along the way. We hope we'll continue receiving your support!

Talking about support! 👀

We are going to be opening a Ko-fi page soon for anyone who would like to make a small donation to help support our game. It is totally optional of course, but massively appreciated! 💙

Thanks again for the love, the laughs, and the support. You’re all incredible!

Thanks for being patient, we are a few students learning along the way and just graduated from school, but we are trying to make a fun and memorable experience out of That One Otter Game. We're so grateful for our community. 🦦🙌
