changedHey everyone!Welcome to Thanks for the Soup! For those who participated in the Closed Beta Test: welcome back!
changedHey everyone! It's both exciting and scary, but we've opened the gates for anyone to try out our demo for Thanks for the Soup! Since this demo is a part of the Steam Next Fest, it will only be available for the duration of the fest. However, we understand that some players may be busy trying out other demos and may not have time to try out Thanks for the Soup within the given window. Therefore the demo will still be available for 1 extra week after the Steam Next Fest has concluded. This means that the demo will be playable until June 28, 2026 @ 07:00 PST.
changedSo, what is Thanks for the Soup?In the unlikely event that you have no clue what you're about to witness. Thanks for the Soup is a game where you will be going around town delivering soup to customers. The town is riddled with secrets and discoveries for you to find. With the money you make from selling soup you can do various things such as upgrading your bicycle, farm a million potatoes, or simply buy a Golden Fishing Rod and catch all the fish you will ever need.
changedWhat is in the demo? The demo currently includes the tutorial (day 0) and the first 2 work days. Which means roughly 1 hour of playtime depending on your performance. You can interact with various events, discover lots of secrets, make a load of money, become the greatest soup deliverer there ever was (given a work week of 2 days).
removedWhat is in the demo?Players from the Closed Beta Test may recognise that the game is much shorter and that the playable area is much smaller. We removed quite a few customers and a whole neighborhood in order to keep the demo concise.
removedWhat is in the demo? The demo does not feature an ending. There are only 2 playable workdays after which you can enter a kind of "free play" mode. In this mode you will no longer be delivering soup and are free to explore and mess with the game's mechanics and features.

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Thanks for the Soup! For those who participated in the Closed Beta Test: welcome back!

So, what is Thanks for the Soup?

In the unlikely event that you have no clue what you're about to witness.

What is in the demo?

The demo currently includes the tutorial (day 0) and the first 2 work days. Which means roughly 1 hour of playtime depending on your performance. You can interact with various events, discover lots of secrets, make a load of money, become the greatest soup deliverer there ever was (given a work week of 2 days).

What is not in the demo?

Players from the Closed Beta Test may recognise that the game is much shorter and that the playable area is much smaller. We removed quite a few customers and a whole neighborhood in order to keep the demo concise.

The demo does not feature an ending. There are only 2 playable workdays after which you can enter a kind of "free play" mode. In this mode you will no longer be delivering soup and are free to explore and mess with the game's mechanics and features.

Some items, events and lore have been removed from the demo in order to avoid confusion since these are heavily tied to specific endings and features that are not a part of the demo. We have also adjusted the rate at which time passes in game to account for the shorter workdays.

How can I provide feedback/ report a bug?

The best way to do so is by either posting in the Community Hub or by going to our Discord and posting in one of the designated channels. We recommend and prefer posting on Discord since this is where we will be checking more frequently.

What can I expect from Early Access?

Following the results and feedback of the demo there will be a lot of changes and additions that will have to be considered. Beyond that we have a lot of amazing plans for Early Access that we cannot wait to share with you when it's ready.

Early Access will feature a total of 9 workdays (excluding the tutorial) in which you will get to know your customers better and are able to help the restaurant make more money! There will be lots more events and secrets. More lore to the game, as well as a few more area expansions. In Early Access we aim to provide multiple satisfying conclusions to the story of the game, but we will share more details on this on a later date.

So when is the game going into Early Access?

Thanks for the Soup will go into Early Access on September 21, 2026!
