Hello, fellow mercenaries! As always, thanks for playing our game! I'm Graham, the programmer for Capybara Forge, and I get the privilege to tell you about this new update. Sorry that this update took too long. It was solely because of me :( Today I will be talking about the new additions for this upcoming update such as the new mode, index, new weapon/armor/item, balances, and key bindings! fixed1) New Mode - SurvivalIn Survival Mode, you will have to survive as long as possible until you die or when the timer runs out. You can gain more time such as by killing mobs and completing objectives! Your mercenary will be at a fixed rank depending on the difficulty. Normal: Rank 5 | Hard: Rank 10 Survival Mode will be already unlocked but we recommend you to at least play through Standard Mode mode first.
addedSurvival Mode (Mechanics)Mechanics vary compared to Standard Mode as completing the main objective will immediately spawn the Final Boss; where as in Standard Mode, the door to the Subspace opens. Not only this but, you will be able to proceed to the next stage after beating the Final Boss and leaving the Subspace! As there are only 2 stages, you will loop back to the the first stage after beating the second. There will also be new mechanics unique to Survival Mode!
changed- PerksPerks can be purchased with Kredits that give you a further edge in battle. 3 random perks will be available every stage. Interact with the book at the Subspace Bar to have a look!
changed- Weapon UpgradesYour overdriven weapons can be further enhanced by using the anvil on the bottom left of Subspace. Remember that you must overdrive a weapon first in order to upgrade them.
added- MutationsEvery time you enter a stage a new mutation appears! They will stay indefinitely every run and more will come to increase the difficulty of a Survival run. When getting an existing mutation it will further increase the effect of that mutation too! To look at the active Perks and Mutations, you can look at them in the Pause Menu under the "Perks, Mutations" Button.

- Leaderboard
Compete against yourself or globally! Your Survival runs get stored on the Personal and Global Leaderboards if you get a high score! It will save your Steam username, score, time, mercenary, and the overdriven skill if any! That's all we have to talk about for Survival Mode. We will be tweaking/adding more Perks and Mutations as we keep on updating the game so hopefully you will be able to enjoy this mode every update. Also, when a new stage comes out, we will be adding that stage to Survival Mode as well.
2) New Mercenary - Gambler
Gambler, the crazed, gambling eccentric joins the guild! Her playstyle depends on luck but she has the utility to defend herself if she needs it!
Fated Die (Auto Attack)
- Level 1 Description: -- Throws a die. -- Damage: 1 - 6 (Fixed) -- Different effects can occur depending on damage. -- On crit, throw 2 dice.
Royal Draw (Active)
- Level 1 Description: -- Throws a random card. Inflicts a random effect depending on card drawn.
Adrenaline (Passive 1)
