TFC2: Collapse of The Bronze Age changes
We'e thrilled to announce that TFC2 enters Early Access on August 18th, 2026.
While the demo showcase the first 3 missions of the campaign mode, we want to give you an overview of what's in the Early Access build.
What's in the build at launch
10 narrative-driven missions, covering Act 1 and Act 2 of the campaign
Skirmish and multiplayer, for anyone who just wants to fight it out rather than follow Mutti's story
Four fully playable factions, including the Hittites
Full save and load, so you can actually sit with the campaign instead of playing it in one sitting
Refined gameplay - active pause, pathfinding and performance improvements, better looking fog of war, new UI, new and more varied environments, and a myriad of other small and large improvements over the first TFC based on everything we learned making that game
Localization for Simplified Chinese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Spanish
Our goal for this build was to get it to a level of polish that feels like a 1.0 release, not a rough draft. We're launching it as Early Access anyway, because we know that this is the type of game that benefits immensely from community feedback.
What's still coming during Early Access
Act 3 and Act 4 of the campaign
Multiplayer and skirmish extended to 6 players
A map editor
Ongoing changes and improvements
Why Early Access
TFC2 is a big step up from the original TFC, with a bigger and more complex narrative-driven campaign. We totally stripped away how we developed content in the first game to be able to deliver what we aim to be an epic RTS adventure. We also hired a narrative designer, and developed a map editor and mission scripter from scratch. We have the full campaign mode planned out, but we want to make sure we're delivering it in the best way possible, and so we will use the Early Access period to help shape those remaining acts.
In addition, it will allow us to shape a map editor with the community to be launched as part of 1.0.
If you played the demo during Next Fest, thank you! Your feedback has directly influence the Early Access release,
See you on the 18th!
