Text Dungeon Demo — Special Room Showcase (Troll’s Rope Bridge)

Starting today, we’ll introduce the “Special Rooms” that appear in the Text Dungeon demo, one by one.

Special Rooms

In Text Dungeon, the game usually flows quickly with simple message logs, much like Rogue. But sometimes, you’ll stumble upon a Special Room.

When you first enter a Special Room, you’ll see unique narrative messages that differ from the usual log. Each room has its own name, distinctive NPCs, exclusive objects or items, and special events. In some cases, you’ll even face gamebook-style choices.

★ Troll’s Rope Bridge

One of the earliest Special Rooms you may encounter. A single suspension bridge stretches across a steep ravine, and a small troll stands at its end.

The troll is far from friendly. As soon as he spots you, he shouts and demands a toll of 3 gold coins to cross. You must decide whether to pay, refuse, or find another way forward.
