Tempo has been live and playable for 4 years this November! After all this, we couldn't be more excited to share our latest update. We present to you, the **TEMPO, Level Editor!!!**

The Level Editor

This update actually has even more great things, but to start us off, the Tempo Level Editor is now publicly accessible and allows you (and other players around the world) to create and play non-developer-made Tempo levels. We created a short video tutorial and some documentation but the whole process has been designed to let you craft and try new levels!

(now when you click the level editor button, you will be presented with new options)

(this is a concept that pretty closely matches the final results)

If you'd like to share and try other people's levels, consider joining our Discord where we've just opened up a community channel for this exact update.

(This is what the level editor looked like for us developers, before we worked to make it public)

Other Updates

  • Tempo is now available on Mac & Linux (Woo!)

  • Tempo always recorded stats like scores and time, but now it tracks that data and let's you see it at the end of any level

  • Custom Levels have been given their own leaderboards (which may be reset when we reset all non-custom leaderboards)

Bug Fixes

  • Tempo will no longer crash / freeze if you try to play a level without being connected to steam - A bunch of refactoring and code cleanup has been done to make the level editor possible for the public - Small general refactors and optimizations have been made to hopefully speed up and improve the game.

Final Notes

We will be listening for any issues or feedback as always, but we hope you enjoy Tempo and all of the free updates we've been able to provide to make the game an even better experience!
