Character and Enemy Enhancements

  • Enhanced mind control to prioritize heroes.

  • Restored Chaos Dragon's fireball functionality.

  • Introduced big spider companion for goblin ranger as a level-up option, requiring spider companion first.

  • Added Hard hit ability to warriors.

  • Introduced Barbarian ability for return damage in Defensive Berserk (You can now build a tanky Thorn Barbarian if you want).

  • Added Werewolf as a playable character (Can be unlocked with Achievement).

  • Introduced Warlock Class.

User Interface and Quality of Life

  • Added short intro and outro.

  • Improved clarity of text for abilities and items.

  • Increased winning gold requirement in player list UI from 500k to 800k.

  • Corrected alignment text in hero selection.

  • Added quest location hints for early quests.

  • Enhanced property descriptions (str, agi, int, etc.) in hero picking screen.

  • Increased font sizes where needed.

  • Reworked Hero selection screen for better focus on character backgrounds.

  • Added background history for many characters.

  • Game starts with a more zoomed-out view.

  • Updated Steam connection failure text.

  • Moved level-up screen to the right for better inventory visibility.

  • Added hardcore game-over announcement.

  • Removed the connected from chat message when starting the game.

  • Extended timer in multiplayer hero selection lobby.

Items

  • Gloves of speed now increase reload time for crossbows and rifles.

  • Clarified differences between knuckles and knives.

  • Dropping all Gems in a Holy Shrine now yields a Holy Stone.

  • Introduced a new Holy Stone recipe using gems.

  • Reworked shields for more distinct variations.

  • Added Warlock Items: Staffs and robes.

  • Introduced an item set focusing on damage return.

  • Renamed Amulet of Peace to Amulet of Harmony; now damages barbarians.

Sound

  • Added soundbomb avoidance (previously, mass heal caused excessive noise).

  • Introduced an option to toggle affirmative sounds.

  • Improved animal sound effects.
