Welcome back to another dev blog written from the minds behind Task Time! When you enter Early Access, you'll often get many questions about why or what your hopes are going into it... Well today Sam Read-Graves is answering just that and you can read all about it below!

Why did we choose Early Access?:ttgreentriangle:
Task Time is the kind of game that gets better when people play it in ways we didn't expect.
We can test tasks internally, throw objects at each other for months, and argue about balance forever, but a small team will never behave like thousands of players.
Players find shortcuts, strange strategies, unfair advantages, and bugs we'd never think to look for. One of our favourite things during testing was watching someone solve a task in a way that was completely wrong by the rules, but somehow still worked.
We need more of that. A lot more. We already have plenty planned for Task Time, but we don't want to spend another year building it in isolation and then guess what people actually want.
Early Access lets us see which tasks land, which ones stop being funny after a few attempts, and which ideas were better in our heads than in a room full of people actively trying to ruin each other.
Feedback will help shape what we fix, what we expand, and what gets prioritised next. There is also one unavoidable practical reason: multiplayer games need players. The more people playing Task Time, the easier it becomes to find hardware bugs, spot balance problems, and catch objectives that are confusing for reasons we are now far too close to the game to see.
The best place for all of that is our Discord. It is where you can share feedback, report bugs, suggest ideas, and find people to play with. We will be reading everything, including the suggestions that are clearly attempts to make the game worse for your friends.

See you in the next task,
