Our Early Access journey is almost over, but that means yours is just beginning! Pack your bags and get ready for an enchanting adventure in Tales of Seikyu, launching in 1.0 on Steam on June 11th 🌸
We’ve been working hard since our Early Access launch in May 2025, gathering as much community feedback as possible to help us bring the wonderful world of Seikyu to life. From the addition of character customisation and ped adoption all the way to new romanceable villagers, dating locations, and more, we’re so proud of the world we’ve crafted alongside our dedicated community. Now, it’s time for the thrilling conclusion of our main story quest, plus a whole host of new features to bring Tales of Seikyu to the world in all the magical glory of 1.0!
We’re going to be showing off our new features in an extra special showcase a little closer to launch, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, we thought we’d run you through some of the highlights that you’ve got to look forward to in June ✨
Chapter 3 Story Conclusion
Those of you who’ve been with us since Early Access will be familiar with Seikyu’s main storyline. You and your sister Kon are the last remaining members of the mythical Fox Clan – a family of fox-spirit yokai with powerful shapeshifting abilities. You arrive in Seikyu, hoping to uncover the secret of your ancestors and find out what happened to your missing parents. Along the way, you’ll make friends, battle rivals, and explore deep within the Fox Ruins, slowly piecing together the story of your family, all while mastering your powers of transformation.
Fox Transformation
Speaking of transformation, we’re adding a fifth and final form for you to master: the cunning Fox! As a member of the Fox Clan, mastering your Fox form is the ultimate goal, but first you’ll have to learn the ways of the mighty Boar, aquatic Slime, soaring Tengu, and icy Yuki-Onna. Only then will you be able to harness the spiritual powers of the Fox, a fully customisable form that you can edit via any in-game mirror, the same way you customise your character’s appearance!
3 New Romanceable Characters
We’re very excited to announce that Seikyu’s roster of romanceable villagers will be expanding from 15 to 18 when we hit 1.0! We’ll be adding two new bachelors and one new bachelorette for you to get to know. Will you go for the refined and mysterious Alin, the wild and reckless Uwabami, or the icy Yuki-Onna?
Marriage
Whether you’ve already captured the heart of your favourite villager, or you’ve got your eye on one of our new romanceable characters, you’ll soon be able to take your relationships to the next level with our brand-new marriage feature! Invite your partner to become your spouse and live with you and Kon at the farmhouse. Your spouse will help you out around the farm, and marriage opens up a whole world of new, blissfully domestic, dialogue with your partner!
Farming Improvements & Automation
Farming is part of your daily life in Seikyu, and we’re always on the lookout for ways to make it more interesting and enjoyable. Your community feedback has been incredibly helpful in deciding which direction to go next when it comes to farming, and we can’t wait to introduce you to all-new, yokai powered automations!
