This release fixes the Steam achievements, which were broken in v0.12.3. Completed achievements should trigger retroactively when starting the game (based on my limited testing).
If achievements still don't trigger after the update to v0.12.4, you should verify the integrity of the game cache. as it seems that the Steam client doesn't always overwrite the necessary files for the fix to work.
