Talented changes
If you weren't already aware we launched a brand new game last week! Decked Out combines deckbuilding with a realtime cardslinging twist to allow you to destroy waves of enemies by throwing your cards right at them!
If that sounds like your jam you can check it out here: Decked Out
Now let's talk about Talented's brand new core mechanic...
Talent Chests
Chests are a brand new way of getting a bunch of Talents, including many that you cannot access any other way!
They are usually found on dead-ends and spawn more frequently the higher up the tree you explore. Better yet, they favour disconnected nodes that are central to the tree, so they might be the perfect thing to get you out of trouble if you feel like you've got a particularly unlucky Talent Tree seed.
Rare Metals
The chests begin begin bronze, offering a couple of Common Talents (that should always be useful with the removal of Dead Talents we spoke of last devlog).
Bronze Chests have a chance to give Silver Keys which can then be used to open Silver Chests...
Silver Chests contains Rare Talents and special Epic Consumables including those we added for the Gauntlet Mode in Beastmaster's Call.
You'll be able to check on the number of keys you have at any time using the new consumable inventory to the right of your Combat Stats.
If you're even more lucky you'll find the coveted Gold Key that allows you to unlock a Gold Chest...
This is where the real fun begins, they offer Legendary Consumables that can do everything from giving your Abilities Multicast to allowing your basic attacks to fire an additional projectile...
...but there is something even stranger inside these lootboxes, for the first time in Talented history you'll be able to steal Epic Talents from other classes!
We'll have everything from Warrior summoning Gravestones to Alchemist with Homing Missiles, we're looking forward to seeing how these mechanics interact, especially when combined with Ability Scrolls.
So that's Talent Chests, we're going to dive into some more Talent Tree rule bending next time with a look at the new Talent Tree Shapes and a few more interesting consumables that will let you break the rules of the skill tree as you know it...
Stay Talented
