The future of Tabletop Playground

I know it's been quite a while since the last update, but the lack of public activity doesn't mean that nothing has happened: I'm excited to share that Dire Wolf Digital has acquired Tabletop Playground!

changedIn this post I want to explain what this means for existing players: The game will continue to get updated, and you will of course receive all future updates if you already own the game. We have a shared vision on how to move forward: I've been working with the team from Dire Wolf and I'll continue to be involved in developing the game further.
addedWith Dire Wolf's support, we've been able to deliver some significant improvements. No existing functionality or mods will be removed as a result of the acquisition. We're about to start a beta test with the new version. The full list of changes would be too much for this post, but here are a few highlights:
addedThe editor is now completely integrated into the game, no need to leave the table to create new objects. All editor screens have been updated to make them easier to understand and use while keeping the full functionality.
addedThe User Interface has a completely new look and has been improved for better usability.
addedA new template UI system allows you to create user interfaces in the editor. You can make things like character sheets without scripting or use the created interfaces together with scripts.
addedA set of new integrated tools built with the new template UI, including timers, counters, a calculator, and a worker placement tool.

You may also know them from board games like Clank! and Dune: Imperium or digital adaptations like Root and Ark Nova.

The beta will be compatible with all existing games, but because of the new features, beta players won't be able to connect with players using the current version. Packages created in the beta may not work correctly in the live version if they make use of new features. You can find more info on compatibility during the beta period here: https://tabletopplayground.com/knowledge-base/beta-mod-compatibility/

Thank you for your continued support and for your patience!
