Welcome to Synth Space

Ya made it! (To Syntherion’s Steam community hub). The dev “team” - I’m CarlPace, the lead developer on Syntherion. Also the only developer for now. I’m writer/ghostwriter/engineer with unhealthy obsessive tendencies.

What changed

0 fixes0 additions2 changes0 removals
  • Store
  • Gameplay
changedThe game in a nutshell: beautiful weapons synced to awesome music in an expanding cosmos that includes a host of enemies, visual styles, friendly NPCs, and a meta-progression so you always come home from a run with something to show for it. I’ll let the store page do the rest of the talking on that.
changedFeatured musical artists (They submit stems, I build them into official in-game weapon sets credited to them.)

Ya made it! (To Syntherion’s Steam community hub).

The dev “team” - I’m CarlPace, the lead developer on Syntherion. Also the only developer for now. I’m writer/ghostwriter/engineer with unhealthy obsessive tendencies. Hence: game. I hope Syntherion becomes as fun to play as it has been to work on.

Game Status – Welp, it’s playable, and that’s really something. As of this post, it’s about two weeks away from being something I would put in front of strangers. Ship maneuvering and musical weapons systems are working, three unique themed worlds/enemies designed. If you liked a game called Crimsonland, then you could honestly consider the game complete as-is. But I’ve got so much more that I want to do. (See “what’s coming”)

Input Plz – I’d love for development to be community driven. There are features that I’m eager to implement and play myself, but making gamers happy is a wonderful feeling. Here's a quick one for the comments: music, ships, or world. Which would you pick to expand if you had to choose one?

What’s Coming – There’s a million things I haven’t done…

  • More friendly havens offering unique upgrades

  • Unique devices: Auto-firing items with cooldowns. Summons, buffs, etc.

  • Meta progression: Unlock ships, level them up

  • Featured musical artists (They submit stems, I build them into official in-game weapon sets credited to them.)

  • Mod support

  • More themed worlds, enemies, and game modes.

  • Unique upgrades (not just % buffs)

So, uh…
