We had multiple rounds of playtests in the past two months, and we feel like Kickstarter is the best way to continue development with the support of the community. A lot of the play testers were happy to try the game and wanted ways to support the development of the game, but felt that the original Early Access end of this year release target is too rushed. We want to address all the feedback we got, so we feel like moving Early Access to March 2021 will give us more time to polish the game. Doing a Kickstarter will give us the necessary resources to continue developing the game and allow interested supporters to try out the game sooner.
