addedAvast! Thar be Challenges, Now!After spending the holidays watching streams of Swashbuckler's Xmas , we got right back to work and added a bunch more gameplay to the game. This build contains the first release of our new challenge mode: Snax's Gambit .
changedHow it worksAs you progress through the story mode, you'll unlock challenges. For each challenge, you can try to beat your own high score or impress your friends on the online leaderboards. There are two types of challenges: Battle and Collection . For Battle challenges, the objective is simple: defeat three rounds of enemies and earn a high score by being accurate, avoiding damage, and maximizing your combo multipliers. In Collection challenges, you'll need to collect all the presents as fast as you can, completing optional objectives to avoid end-of-round penalties.
changedSnax Who?Snax, whose real name is Chandesku Uenagi, is Captain Smokey's first mate. He's extremely eager to make his gameplay debut, after previously only starring in the post-game sequence. If you complete a challenge, you'll get a readout of your score and any bonuses or penalties you've earned. If you fail, you'll get Snax, laughing at your incompetance!
addedBonus FeaturesTwo new elf variations: Scouts, who are smaller and more agile, and Titans, who are bigger with heavy attacks
