While we're on the topic of summer, it's a great opportunity to share a bit more about Dazhbog, the Slavic god of summer and an in-game character.

In addition to being the god of Summer, Dazhbog is also associated with the sun and is known as the "giving god," bringing fortune and prosperity. Svarog, the creator god who forged seven worlds in fire, had two sons: Dazhbog, who represents the fire in the sky (the Sun), and Svarozhits, who symbolizes the flame on Earth. There is a belief that during the winter, Dazhbog descends to Earth and travels from home to home in search of warmth. Whenever he finds a sufficiently warm home, he blesses the surrounding farms with a fruitful year.
