Devlog: Entry 3

Hello, survivors! On today's agenda - the editor. This is where the game's story is created. In available editors like Twine the game ends up too linear and boring. So my husband built a custom editor for me.

Hello, survivors!

changedAn equally important category is items. If you have no weapon, you will die. If you have no food or water, the story will repeat itself. Items can be either single-use or reusable. That's why in our game what you have in your inventory is very important.
removedThese are the two core functions of the editor that the entire game is mainly built around. But that's far from all. For example we can set a hidden timer that will trigger after a certain number of turns - looks like you didn't manage to switch on the backup generator in time and the laboratory exploded with you inside. Or for example remove items not only from the inventory but from storage as well. Oh no, we've been robbed! All of this makes the story richer and more engaging.

On today's agenda - the editor. This is where the game's story is created. In available editors like Twine the game ends up too linear and boring. So my husband built a custom editor for me. When used properly its possibilities are virtually limitless. You can create a story so complex you'll get lost in it yourself. The main work in the editor revolves around Flags. These are something like conditions. There can be any number of them and depending on their presence or absence the story changes.

Work on the editor is 99% complete and the remaining 1% is reserved for my future crazy ideas, should any come along. We are currently working on the game's features and once they are fully polished, all that will be left before the demo release is the translation.

Game video.

At first glance our game looks very simple, but I hope its possibilities and story will pleasantly surprise you. If you have questions - don't hesitate. We'll be happy to answer them.

See you later!
