A huge deadly wall of energy, that forces you all to fight to the last man. It's been in Survival Games since 2014, so keep reading to learn how to use it to your advantage. Lethal Radius Don't leave the dome, you will die at a rate of 10 damage per 3 seconds. This prevents camping scum from clogging the game when I'm trying play like an normal person. If it's worth the risk however, you can dash out for a chest. Staged Shrinking The dome is not always shrinking, it has periods of safety. You'll get alerts, and the status appearing on the mini-map. When it does, you can outrun it. Because going flat chat and watching a soulless game rule glide past you and leave you to die slowly and alone brings no satisfaction to anyone. Players should be encouraged to kill each other, which is why we put a goddamned dome in the game four years ago. Dynamic Start Size Survival Games supports up to 64 players, but there are times when you either won't want a full game, or the matchmaking servers don't find enough people. We're an Australian Game studio, so we're quite familiar with what it's like to play a multiplayer game when the lazy peasants in the USA have long since gone to bed. The dome starts off smaller, and in a random location, which keeps up the player density needed to have fun when your game has fewer players. No longer a Dome Ok, so it's not a dome anymore. The shape is now a cylinder, which makes staying within the safe area less tricky. A curved dome has a roof, that lowers and kills players in high places as you can see in the image. This also means that the mini-map is more accurate when it represents a cylinder. Battle Royale Only The dome does not appear in Zombie Survival or in any of the Arena Shooter Maps. It's function is to force players to fight each other, which is only needed in Battle Royale. Exploding neck collars, and game masters only really work in books and movies. Dome, MK1 The first generation dome was a solid force field. You could skip thrown weapons off its surface! This also meant that as it shrunk, it dragged players towards the center and eventually crushed and drowned them during the final moments of sudden death. This older dome would also flash bright red to let you know it was about to shrink as seen below, which was useless for warning people camping inside buildings. This information should help you out in Battle Royale.
