changedI got contests working and the jet skis working, but the UI for the dialogue is not working - it switches from controller to keyboard when talking. ha ha. And a lot of ui stuff is not working.
changedOptimization may be an issue but frarmerate doesn't drop much from what I've been testing so far. But to be sure, get ready with a good powerful computer to play on in case it becomes an issue that I can't fix.

Surfers Code was designed from the start to be a 4 player local multiplayer exploration and competition surf game and experience.

Local multiplayer added too many complicated issues to be implemented on release.

But now I went back to implementing it and...

It's going really well and is likely to be updated to 4 person split screen multiplayer this summer.

4 person split screen includes:

  • 4 player scored contests

  • Individual exploration

  • 1 to 4 players at a time

  • Steam local multiplayer so you can share with friends that don't have the game with just an email.

It's in the works and is actually working for two players. I will need testers and to work out the bugs.

There are a ton of bugs right now, so I won't update until it is more presentable.

Here's it's current state;

I got contests working and the jet skis working, but the UI for the dialogue is not working - it switches from controller to keyboard when talking. ha ha. And a lot of ui stuff is not working.

Optimization may be an issue but frarmerate doesn't drop much from what I've been testing so far. But to be sure, get ready with a good powerful computer to play on in case it becomes an issue that I can't fix.
