Supersonic Tank Cats changes
Hello everyone! How're you? It feels like it's been ages since last time I came with an update. It's been months. As you know, a lot of stuff has happened this year, and here in Spain, we've had it rough. I'm lucky and grateful to say I haven't been personally affected.
But enough of that for now, we're here to see the new update. :)
The first thing you'll notice is the brand new intro animation! It's short, intense and cartoony, and it's been a blast learning while working on it. I hope you like it.
The second novelty is the Kitty Playground mode: A chill place where you pat cats on their head or play with them with toys. Every time you enter there's a different selection of tank cats!
And, of course, there's three new characters to finish up the roster!
Meet Luna, Geiger and Bakeneko! They're very different from each other, but they're good kitties in their own ways.
Other things added to this version are new missions, a third Grand Prix cup, and looooots of tweaks and fixes. Want to see them all? Here's the patch notes:
Added Kitty playground: a mode in which you can pat the kitties and play with them
Added new characters: Luna, Geiger and Bakeneko
Added several Boost Challenge missions
Added animated introduction sequence
Added new grand prix: The Whisker Cup
Removed all netcode from game, for optimization purposes
Pause and results menus now use same key bindings as rest of the menus
Fixed bug when exiting remap controls scene with ESC key
Shotgun hitbox now shouldn't interfer with player movement
Given the ice trap visible ice spikes to make it easier to see in bright areas
Greatly reduced homing laser's stun time
Reduced the strength of lasso weapon
Slightly reduced Calico's stats
Slightly increased Mao's stats
Reduced the big missile explosion push force
Halved bubble shield time
Reduced fire trail boost duration
Tweaked boostpad force in Thunder Heights before big jump
Added patrons and collaborators to credits
And now, with all of the update news explained clear, I want to add something very important. Next update will most likely be v1.0, and make the game exit Early Access. For that reason, I ask you for your feedback. I want to make next update mostly fixes and polish, to make the game as smooth as possible, and as close as the experience you want as I can make it be. Any hiccup, balance issue, or strange looking corner, I want to fix in the next update, so don't be shy about bringing them up in the community forum. There's a thread for that. :)
It's been about three years since this project started, and sometimes it's been hard to continue... but I'm happy to have reached this point with you guys.
