Major Technology Update

Hi, We're back with a major technology change. As opposed to previous updates where there was lot of new content, in this one we're changing technology to improve performance significantly.

addedWe're back with a major technology change. As opposed to previous updates where there was lot of new content, in this one we're changing technology to improve performance significantly.
addedWe think performance is really important in a racing game and anything we can do to improve that is going to affect significantly the responsiveness of the game. We tried a new rendering model in Unity (the game engine we're using) and we believe that fps (frames per second) have been increased by a range between 30% and 150%. It depends a lot on the computer and the graphics card you have, but in most tests we've done performance was improved in the range 60%-100%. We were pleasantly surprised and have worked hard to get the game to look as similar as it used to look as possible.
changedBesides that, we've tried to do a bit of bugfixing and we've finished localizing the game to all languages.
addedSoon we'll post the last major update we're planning on doing: adding the last 3 tracks of the game. The image above is a sneak peek of one of the tracks we're currently working on.

Hi,

We're back with a major technology change. As opposed to previous updates where there was lot of new content, in this one we're changing technology to improve performance significantly.

We think performance is really important in a racing game and anything we can do to improve that is going to affect significantly the responsiveness of the game.

Besides that, we've tried to do a bit of bugfixing and we've finished localizing the game to all languages.

Soon we'll post the last major update we're planning on doing: adding the last 3 tracks of the game. The image above is a sneak peek of one of the tracks we're currently working on.

As usual, please feel free to let us know your opinion on the game, this update or anything you feel like commenting in the forums or by any other means you deem fit.

Best regards, Eduardo Eclipse Games
