We added story to the game. It is inspired in artsy story games such as witness/Ikaruga even in hare I always try to do something different with story in games. And I'm trying to do some comic undertones. It's totally optional and you can turn it off on the game options.
Speaking of it, now we have translations for multiple languages (it, fr, ptbr, uk, ru, zh-CN, zh-TW, ja, ko, en | there are probably more that I'm not remembering right now).
All voice overs in the game have subtitles and I expect the subtitles to be localized aswell.
Now the hat lady should speak in multiple languages before you're changing your hats! But now that I'm writing this I forgot to ask someone to dub her... F.
Star platforms are more predictable (now it only bounces you in 36 different directions which means it's less random but still random enough). And now it's actually possible to do this:
And last and most important. The main thing I got from people is that the game is TOO HARD! So I added an easy mode to the game. The easy mode gives you a cape which lets you float!
I thought about doing some sort of time mechanics where you would go back in time or checkpoints systems where you could teleport to some locations but this defeats the purpose of the game. I may revisit this mechanics in the future, but I'm not sure I should do this.
Tried Double jump also, but it just breaks to much of the game. And at the end of the day floating is what makes more sense to make the game easier. So I hope this helps people exploring the game a little bit more.
Mood: Excited to do Laura 2. It will probably be a traditional platformer.
