fixedWe've got another update out for you all. Major change this update to arena matchmaking! Changes: - Overhauled the difficulty system in arena. (See details below.) - Added mini-packs gifts. - Added another restriction to standard custom packs. (See details below.) - Added a separate leaderboard for 8-player versus lobbies. - Added a game introduction/tips for new players. - Changed all versus lobbies to make username, ELO and pack visible during the final countdown. - Changed so you can see what packs each player uses in versus after the game has started. - Changed weekly versus lobbies to have username and ELO visible again. - Changed several pools for abilities with the "useful" keyword. - Changed several ability card visuals. - Changed versus mini-leaderboard to show lives. - Fixed White Truffle not going away when triggered the in shop phase. - Fixed Cardinal copying ailments. - Fixed a billion squillion bugs that we forgot to write down. - Fixed Good Dog giving ailments. - Fixed "Before attack" triggers not working with jump-attacks for the defender. - Fixed Dugong always working in weekly packs. - Fixed Tiger being able to cheat out extra trigger from limited pets. - Fixed Rat missing fine print for not triggering summon abilities. Arena now has Normal, Hard and Super Hard difficulty settings, which decides the general power level of the enemy teams you will face. There is also Cursed difficulty, which is just the old hard mode with bad toys.
addedBefore this update, you would be matched roughly based on your player experience, meaning that it would change over time. Now you simply pick the difficulty you want to play at, and it should stay consistent, similar to how most other games do it. Custom Packs now has a limit of 5 super pets in total. Super pets have their own icon, similar to archetypes, and is generally for pets that are perfectly balanced in their own standard pack, but overpowered in custom. Wild Custom Packs has no limitation on super pets. The limitation was added because balancing pets for standard packs and custom packs is extremely hard and time-consuming. Hopefully, the change will also make it less punishing for players who don't own all packs, by making the staple pets mutually exclusive.
