We’re excited to release Patch 1.0.7 and are immensely grateful for your support and patience. We understand that some of you still have been encountering challenges since the game’s launch, and we want to assure you we have been hard at work addressing your concerns throughout our patches.
With Patch 1.0.7, we’re taking another significant step towards improving your gameplay experience. We’ve been closely listening to player feedback and have focused our efforts these last two weeks on resolving two major issues that have been affecting some players since launch. Additionally, we’ve also worked on crash fixes and introduced some quality of life improvements.
Major Changes :
- Map Tile IssuesFixed an issue in multiplayer where some items/trees/stations from one map tile would not be properly positioned, giving the impression of two tiles “fusing” together. This fix should prevent the issue from happening again, but should also ensure that when you load a saved game, objects will be appropriately placed.
- Co-Op Game JoiningSome players reported challenges in joining co-op games with their friends. We have pinpointed why this was happening: Previously if an error was raised during login with Steam or at game creation it would fail silently and start a game in offline mode. Thus, joining that game would always fail without warning. To help clarify the status we have revamped some of the online flow to display error messages in the main menu in case the player login or the creation of the game session fails. This also allows players to choose to retry login/creation if they experienced a temporary network failure or go into offline mode. A successful state should be as transparent as it previously was. We hope this will alleviate most issues players encountered, but we are also investigating other ideas to let us better pinpoint other network failures.
Quality of Life Improvements:
We’ve fixed an issue that made the splash screen unskippable.
The basket now properly auto-selects the wanted item slot depending on a station’s inputs/outputs or the content of a chest.
Fixed the basket not closing properly in certain situations.
Other Fixes:
We addressed a physics desync issue between clients and the host when picking up and putting on Fido’s basket, which caused player movement stuttering.
Did some fixes to quest Expo 67 around delivering some items.
Fixed a crash caused by erroneous data in the construction mode that was revealed by the correction to the fences applied in 1.0.6.
Known Issues:
Clients in a co-op game may still experience menu map display issues (black screen). This does not affect the World Atlas map, and we are actively working on a fix which we are hoping to release next week.
Localization for network error messages is not yet complete. This is on our radar, and we’ll be addressing it in a future update.
Thank you for being a part of our community, and we can’t wait to see you in game with these new improvements! As always, please let us know your feedback and if you experience any bugs in our Discord!
