Stunt Xpress changes
Next Fest June 2024 has just started! As participants, we've prepared a whopper of a demo update for this occasion!
Some of the main points:
new languages! Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese and French!
improved difficulty balance!
added vehicle relative steering! (keyboard & mouse players should like this one!)
lotsa bugfixes!
Here's the full changelog:
General changes:
New: Last resort ticket mechanic - if you have only 1 ticket left you will never drop to 0 if you every time finish all the tasks during the match
Vehicles are now little wobbly in the garage and main menu to give them more character.
Character limit increased to 32 (for longer names width of label will be automatically adjusted).
Player's vehicle is now incomparably more stable while destroying objects like trees, market stalls, fruit boxes, fences etc.
Player can now score stunts from arena's initial jump.
Now rotation speed is slowly decreasing after crash to reduce a "fast spinning vehicle" effect.
Removed collider from ceiling on the tutorial map.
New music track
Tutorial and onboarding:
New: Add quick tutorial (on the side menu) to explain in-game progression mechanics
New: Random small quick tips on the post-match screen (to learn players about indirect mechanics and strategies).
New: Pause menu now displays control scheme for mouse+keyboard too.
Accessibility:
New: Setting to toggle inverted camera
New: Experimental user setting - vehicle relative steering
New: Experimental user setting - keeping camera always behind player's vehicle
New: Option to switch language inside options menu (currently supported languages: en, pt, pt_BR, fr)
UI/UX:
New: In air drop challenge parcels have now separated timer above them and arrow indicator is pointing on the plane instead.
New: When match is very close to end there is additional indicator with sfx.
New: Player can now see item stats in description of unlocked reward.
New: Redesigned UI for match details screen to improve readability.
New: Confirmation popup now appears when trying to unlock permanently item.
- NewNow opening new career screen with gamepad (at the first time) will put a "Delivery!" text in the empty "player name" field.
Improved descriptions for items
Reversed direction for small circular timer next to arrow indicator.
Small UI design improvements for garage, shop, options and tournament screens.
Multiple small improvements for focus navigation and for switching between gamepad and mouse+keyboard.
Updated graphics for tool slots backgrounds on the tournament screen.
A "+1 per unlocked reward" label is now appearing only when "next tournament" button is focused.
Replace 3 variations of scaffold notifications ("Scaffold!", "Left scaffold!", "Right scaffold!") with just one ("Scaffold!").
Amount of tickets and tokens moved to the left side of the screen (right below player name).
Fix: Pressing (B)/[ESC] doesn't close options screen.
Fix: Rotating vehicle on the tournament screen is now fully parallel to the ground (previously it was always little bit skewed).
Fix: Pressing "WSAD" while editing character name, removes focus from the text field.
Gameplay balance:
Early game is now easier and quicker.
Difficulty for tasks adjusted to make them easier in early game and harder in late game.
Now challenge timer is unaffected by slow-mo.
Hardest matches with mines should now be easier than before (especially on the City map).
Initial time and bonus time for delivery challenge increased.
Increased activation range for Stunt Lights "Roundabout" variant.
Decreased amount of required tow truck tricks in difficult matches.
