Hello all. Today X-MiGu is announcing a patch for X-MiGuFighters that is coming soon. Why and what to expect? As I've broken ground on developing Bare BooB Brawlers: Power Claw https://store.steampowered.com/app/892160/BARE_BOOB_BRAWLERZ_POWER_CLAW/... the first thing I did was look back to X-MiGuFighters and analyze what I wish the game had done better. Some aspects that I would like to improve are so deep rooted into the foundational code that I am hella-scuurd to borke this game. For example, lack of variable air combat and a combo system that could be better. More importantly, a lot of customer feedback has been analyzed and some interesting issues have been uncovered. In preparation of ensuring Bare Boob Brawlers can be as good as possible for the TNA-DGAF-2D-Fighter community, we will be implementing a patch that should improve this game for everyone and help all our future titles improve. 1. SCREEN RESOLUTION issues and PERFORMANCE issues: When the game launches, it currently launches in Borderless Window mode and at 1920x1080. Most systems auto adjust the screen but for some users, this was not the case. The end result required users to press 'ALT+ENTER' to switch to full screen fixing the porting issues. IN THE PATCH, the game will launch in FULL SCREEN and convert the native resolution automatically to port to the screens resolution. In our testing, we learned that the game ran significantly smother on the affected systems. 2. 4K ANOMOLY: Users running 4K systems were experiencing "BROKEN GAME PLAY" ... it turns out if you are running a 4K resolution, the game runs really badly on most systems. So, SOME users should see this go away in the new patch, however, some users will have to temporarily configure their screen to 1920x1080 for the game to run properly despite the patch. 3. MEMORY MANAGEMENT: Our ambition is to deliver larger games with smoother 2D animation and more levels and characters. In preparation for our ambitions and intent for BBB:POWERCLAW to have much smother animation-which means more sprites to yield more frames per second ... we have to change our game's MEMORY management code. This patch will introduce a new script for off loading unneeded data that was bogging down VRAM and cause the game's INI time to lag. Though with the patch, you may experience slight lag in between matches caused by the purging of unneeded sprites and loading of new, we are expecting better over all performance and reduction in minimum required specs.
