addedXMF FAQ/IMPORTANT INFO: UPCOMING PATCHES and NEW GAME FEATURES on X-MiGu FIGHTERs + more: 1. I can not fix my resolution at start of game. Game screen is too large or too small. SOLUTION: Just press "F5" to toggle FULLSCREEN, Should fix the problem. Requested Game features: 2. Update 1: 4.2018 CONTROL CUSTOMIZATION. Regarding custom control settings, X-MiGuPLAY (XMP) has broken ground on programming these features in, however, XMP is not going to rush to put the patch live just yet. We want to test as much as possible for bugs and such. Anytime a major update is made to the game's code some undesired side effects can occur. XMP plans for this feature to go live by April 2018. 3. Update 2: TBA: IMPROVED AI. Some users state that the AI is too easy. The game does offer an easy, normal and hard AI setting. However, some players out there did a great job of exploiting the AI and finding tricks and loops. For that reason, XMP's second planned patch will be an update to the AI, minimal changes will be made on easy setting. However, normal and hard will get AI script updates to remove the current exploits. 4. Update 3: TBA: Pausing, Exit & optional HP. The third update will include the addition of a pause and exit round feature. XMP did not integrate a pause feature at launch for a couple reasons. One was the anticipation of online-MP. The other reason is that if you walk away from a CPU match and lose, the game will hold the "Retry/QUIT" Menu until you return. The game can be closed at anytime by pressing "ALT" + "F4". We will add a pause/exit feature and in addition we will add an option to set the Health bar to different levels to accommodate users that prefer faster rounds. USER concerns/feedback: 5. ANIMATION FRAME RATE: This game occupies an approximate 850 MB in VRAM while it is running (MB can fluctuate due to recolored frames which are flushed from Mem between levels: XMP's goal is typically to stay below the 1GB mark). This is why its critically important for users that are unsure if they meet the system requirements to test the game with an FPS displayed option enabled on the screen during matches. If the game falls below 50 FPS, it will break. It is ideal to hover between 55-60 FPS during matches. Our current engine does not allow for texture pages to be loaded in isolated groups into VRAM as the graphics 'data' file runs like a WAD and is always in Memory. For those reasons many attack animations will fall to approx 30% of FPS rate. The graphics were planned for true 1080p with minimal interpolation implemented to get the clearest graphics on the largest display possible based on the memory utilization plan. With the balancing acting of managing sprite sheets, WAD, frame rate and resolution - XMP picked resolution to trump all. Further testing on this balancing act will be seen in XMP's next 'beat'em up side scroller brawler'. That next title will run at 720p pushing an up-convert to 1080. The plan is to use the reduction in native resolution so XMP can squeeze in more frames of animation at higher rate. At the end of the day, XMP games are marketed as 'RETRO' as these aspects of production are taken into account. In addition, no changes will be made to XMF in this capacity. 6. The request for more human females. XMP is working on a re-skin version of XMF to accommodate users that want less Sci-Fi and more strippers fighting with the 1v1 game mechanic of XMF. Release TBA... 7. More Sci Fi, less boobs: To XMP's surprise, we are two nudie titles in and we have users asking for our games but with no nudity. For the reasons express in FAQ#5, XMP does not want to bloat up any release with alt sprites of nude not nude animations. We are currently considering doing a re-skin of XMF with the Sci-Fi minus the bare boobs and sans da schlongulezes. 8. Smoother Frame Rate: XMP is currently looking into some 3D engine platforms. There is a possibility that by 2020 we could see a 3D Action/RPG styled game from X-MiGuPLAY. Final thoughts: X-MiGuPLAY has an international audience that is growing everyday that we are comitted to making games for. We are very open to user feedback so we encourage folks to chime in, sound off. Continue to post on the forums with your thoughts or continue to email XMP at info@xmiguplay.com for those of you that prefer to lay a little more low key. Thanks for your time. Regards, -M
