changed“Startup crash” fixUntil this update the game would quit on start if Steam can’t be initialized (e.g. Steam client not launched, no connection, etc.) This behavior was taken as “startup crash” by users to whom it occurred. It’s not the issue anymore, the game will start whatever Steam status is.
added“Unfair play” hot fixA solution for a bug when AI was “cheating”, counting 3 in a row (or not counting 4 in a row) as a win. This fix would work for most users, however I’m still looking for possible AI improvements and more updates might be introduced later.
changedLinux supportI was surprised some people tried to play Windows version on Linux. No need for that anymore as there’s the Linux version now as well.
changedFuture updatesYes, there will be more updates very soon. The most important one is Spectator mode, a special final scene, aka “I won last level, where’s my reward”. It will be unlocked in the next update after winning the last level. Localization to more languages is the second big thing.

Strip 4: Classmate Study 1.1.0 Patch

“Startup crash” fix

Until this update the game would quit on start if Steam can’t be initialized (e.g. Steam client not launched, no connection, etc.) This behavior was taken as “startup crash” by users to whom it occurred. It’s not the issue anymore, the game will start whatever Steam status is.

“Unfair play” hot fix

A solution for a bug when AI was “cheating”, counting 3 in a row (or not counting 4 in a row) as a win. This fix would work for most users, however I’m still looking for possible AI improvements and more updates might be introduced later.

Retina display fix

macOS version now runs smother on Retina displays. Discrete graphics card is still required to play the game.

Linux support

I was surprised some people tried to play Windows version on Linux. No need for that anymore as there’s the Linux version now as well.

Censorship code — “cantsee”

From now on the game has also a code to turn censorship back on. Requested feature, don’t ask me why.

Future updates

Yes, there will be more updates very soon. The most important one is Spectator mode, a special final scene, aka “I won last level, where’s my reward”. It will be unlocked in the next update after winning the last level. Localization to more languages is the second big thing.

VR

Strip 4 VR mode is requested by players and it was actually planned from the start. I have also a strong background of development for VR, yet there’s no such functionality been developed at the moment. That’s why Strip 4 VR is not guaranteed but very likely. If VR is your main interest, there’s another project I’m working on despite Strip 4, it’s VR oriented and it’s already in development. It will feature much stronger adult experiences, accurate anatomy, less game and more female beauty. I will announce it later with a free demo.

Follow the updates, and thank you all for the feedback!

P.S. Thanks to all xQc people for making this viral and funny, I’m watching all your memes on reddit/twitter/etc, love you guys!
