Happy Friday, strikers! We're very honoured to have welcomed so many of you to our game this past week, we're currently one of the top played games in this Steam Next Fest thanks to you. To show you we're serious about the game, we've been listening to your feedback and working fast on loads of the things you've been asking for this week. We still have loads of changes and additions we're planning to make soon too!
Gameplay
Goalie forward dives no longer deflect, they always catch
Goalie backwards dives no longer catch, they always deflect (up angle, above the goal)
Movement skill moves like roulette, stepover and la croqueta are no longer protected from kicks and dribbles
Buffed the ball impulse from poke tackles (600->800 + preserving more momentum)
Reduced the range of the aim assist on poke tackles to allow more predictive blocks (250->175)
Increased the reach of manual dribbles (75->90)
Throw-in interference barrier now grows a lot quicker for faster throw-ins, slight increase in interference size
Corner interference is now prevented by blocking the outside of the field around the corner as well
Auto dribble will no longer start if you are offside
Animations
Added new weak kick pass animations
Added new far reach dribble animations
Quality of Life
Added more gradual sensitivity setting (0.01 increments instead of 0.1)
Added a nametag opacity slider setting
Added a new setting to disable chat
The Max FPS setting has been reworked from a slider to a dropdown and decoupled from vsync
Added 4 extra spectator slots to customs (allowing you to go over the slot limit, but not join a team)
Only the custom game admin can now change the Single Keeper setting
When the entire opposing team leaves a matchmaking match, the remaining team wins by forfeit
Added a search and region filter to custom games
Improved the "aflame" jersey to look more natural
Fixes
Movement skill moves are no longer allowed during other skill moves which caused inconsistent behaviour
Fixed reconnections to the Striker Services causing communication issues with parties
Fixed server join rejections preventing people from queueing (Already in a match error)
If you do get the error, please let us know. We have added new internal tooling to resolve this much faster just in case.
Fixed joining customs that are still starting giving you a "not enough space" message, queues your join instead
Fixed text overlaps in custom games browser
Fixed the flicks having the ability to interfere with throw-ins with very specific timing
Fixed a player slide after counter-moving a roulette
Fixed custom game lobby capacity not being calculated correctly until the server starts
