changedThe latest update brings a few major bugfixes, some tweaks to how the game connects to Twitch and, most importantly, the groundwork for a Player Selection system. The last one is particularly exciting as it leads into creating not only the Player Levelling system (For both the Hero and the Monsters) and creating challenge as the dungeon progresses, but also the framework for different characters with different starting abilities.
removedRemoved the need for an OAuth Token. This was more confusing than it was beneficial, and although with the removal of it I have lost the ability to post directly to Twitch Chat, the benefits of a streamlined connection and ease of use far outweigh far outway the cons.
changedUpdated the Data System to use a self-created binary encoding for player data, rather than the unpredictable and annoying PlayerPrefs defaults.

  • Implemented a Character Selection framework

  • Removed the need for an OAuth Token. This was more confusing than it was beneficial, and although with the removal of it I have lost the ability to post directly to Twitch Chat, the benefits of a streamlined connection and ease of use far outweigh far outway the cons.

  • Implemented the Dungeon Length system. This will let you choose the length of the dungeon, which will be then split between 3 sets of levels (Cave/Cellar/Castle), selecting from a range of pre-made dungeon floors for each.

  • Updated the Data System to use a self-created binary encoding for player data, rather than the unpredictable and annoying PlayerPrefs defaults.

More coming soon! Hope you enjoy the updates!
