Who We Are
We are a 2 person development team, Whistling Alpaca Studio, working on Stouthollow Tales. We kicked around several ideas for a game we would love to make before we settled on creating an item shop game that we would want to play.
What is Stouthollow Tales?
Stouthollow Tales is a JRPG style Item shop management game, driven by exploration, narrative, customization and collection.
Narrative
Narrative plays a big part in Stouthollow Tales. The citizens of Stouthollow help drive the plot as you uncover the mysteries of the world around you.
Collection
Stouthollow Tales has 9 (at time of writing) guilds who each have their own unique set of items and crafting recipes which influence other sections of the game in unique ways. For example, in order to upgrade your shop and craft new furniture you'll need to work with the Carpenter's Guild.
Explore
The world in Stouthollow Tales is hand-crafted by us. Narrative feeds directly into finding new areas, meeting new people and discovering more about the world around you. Ponds, Rivers, Oceans and lakes contain many different fish (including legendary fish such as the Ancient Carp). Caves run deep under the earth, the deeper you go the more rare minerals you'll find.
Customize
Make your store and your character your own. Customize your character's Hair, Clothes and skin tone as well as your store's furniture, floor and wall style!
