🌊 Stout Update V2.5 : Multiplayer Now Available.🌊

After nearly two months of intense work, countless tests, rebuilds and complex networking issues, multiplayer is finally live. This has been the biggest technical challenge since the game’s release, rebuilding core systems, adapting gameplay for online authority, and making sure everything works properly on Steam.

Today, the game officially becomes what it was always meant to be!

🌐 ONLINE CO-OP (Up to 6 Players for Now)

You can now:

• Host a session on Steam

• Join friends on Steam

• Play over LAN

• Experience the world together in real time

This is a peer-to-peer (P2P) system, allowing up to 6 players per session.

The game is no longer just a solo experience, it finally reflects the true spirit of kayaking:

• Living the river life

• Roleplaying as a kayak crew

• Playing together. Celebrating the clean runs

• Making new friends. Learning from each other

• Chasing lines. Guiding lines

• Showing off your skills and your style

💬 NEW ONLINE CHAT SYSTEM

A brand-new multiplayer chat system has been added:

• Real-time in-game messaging

• Online notifications when players send messages

• Uses real Steam display names directly in chat

Communication between players is now seamless and integrated directly into the game.

⛅ Major Visual Upgrade – Enhanced Sky & Weather

The atmosphere of Stout Kayak has been significantly improved. From golden sunsets reflecting on the rapids to stormy skies rolling over the rivers, the updated weather system now features:

• Improved sun lighting with new cinematic lens flare visuals

• A brand-new moon system

• Enhanced volumetric clouds that dynamically change with the weather

• Improved rain effects

• All-new thunder effects

The wilderness feels deeper, more reactive, and more immersive than ever.

• UI updated to reflect the new online era of the game
