Repeated intro

Hello again everyone! I'm happy to announce the latest update to SPG! This one is a little larger than past ones, so strap in for a little.

What changed

1 fix1 addition2 changes0 removals
  • UI and audio
  • Compatibility
  • Gameplay
changedNick had a random and insatiable need to rework the messy audio script used in SPG (that thing was a complete nightmare for us), and opted to do so for this. While it was mostly fine for the game, this update has cleaned up a significant amount of backend worries, and allowed for some more fail safes to be put into place in regards to audio.
fixed20 more star levels, bringing the total puzzle count to 100 * Proper saving client side to ensure things like audio levels and resolution are retained proper * Better functioning audio settings * Audio slider for sound effects * Reworked main menu text to allow for better scaling * Compression worked into the puzzle images (let me know if you can notice any loss in quality, and it'll be reverted) * Overall game size more than halved (thanks to the last two) * Fixed an error when completing a level, and going to the level select menu not allowing the music to be turned back up after being turned down for an audio chime * Fixed an error where the first song at game launch would always be a certain one, now random
changedLinux and Mac support soon, this one might take another moment, but I think it'll be good to go in a little!
addedNew levels can be accessed simply in the start game menu, after clicking to the fourth page of levels. Future levels will be added the same way. :)

On top of that, after some friends and I had talked about it, we found out that SPG was rather large considering what it is. We found it was due to how text was handled. Before I could compress the text in gimp or something myself, Nick, the animal, just did it anyway! Guy's a freak! Seriously though, this saved well over a hundred megabytes. Not sure what unity was doing with that text. On top of that, he also wanted to try a simple compression method on the images for the puzzles, so let me know if you happen to notice a drop in quality there. Think it's completely fine, and unnoticeable.

Sheeesh, that was a lot. Huge huge huge thanks to Nick for doing this, all I really did was talk out issues, test everything possible, and make levels. It's really all thanks to him for this one. <3
