Today, Update 1.2: The Story Update was officially made live on Steam. This update includes major changes to the game including graphical updates, major story-mode expansions, and minor bug fixes.
Graphical Updates
- Many of the in game sprites were updated in order to give better quality visuals and a coherent theme.
This includes
- Update to the default ground tile texture - Grappling point sprite updated - Turret sprite updated - Red button sprite updated - The final victory screen was also changed to look better - A new explosion animation sprite was added for when to defeat the bosses
The new sprites/victory screen can be seen in the following screenshots:
Story Mode Updates: - Expanded the pause menu to allow for more actions - Added a save/load feature, this does not get rid of permadeath, as any saves you have will be deleted when you die, but you can save, quit, and come back later if you need to take a break - Added a mini boss partway through the game's story mode
