New Objects

Bullet

Rarity: Rare (3-cost)

Description: When created, gives you +1 deleter. Cannot combine

Unlock conditions: The Bullet has replaced the Bowling Pin unlock for the Strike Medal

Golden Eyeball

Steam post image

Rarity: Rare (3-cost)

Description: Transform into a random object from your warehouse. Cannot combine

Unlock conditions: This object cannot be unlocked; it will only exist in some of the daily challenges or with a Luck Sign

Notes from Steve: Golden eyeballs can transform into any object that you have already played except Passives. Golden eyeball synergises with the different eyeball passives, allowing some impossible combos until now.

Curvy Road Sign

Steam post image

Description: Once you've played all of your deck, you can move objects around. (except I and Brick)

Unlock conditions: The Bullet is unlocked with the Strike Medal

Infinite mode

The Infinite mode allows you to continue any game or challenge after a victory. As long as you still have lives available, a new button will appear on the victory screen:"Infinite mode"

The difficulty objective in infinite mode follows a low exponential curve. New Passive shops appears every 4 rounds, and the removal cost goes back to 1 gold after the boss.

New malus

Steam post image

Losing a round objective in infinite mode will no longer give you Wheels but instead Screws (don't make a flat tire).

Screws cannot be destroyed or transformed in any way, shape or form except by falling into the lava. The number of Screws given will increase by 1 after each failed objective.

Notes from Steve: Other balancing changes have been made to accommodate this mode; you can review them at the bottom of this news. Some of the harder game achievements will also become slightly easier!

Daily Challenge ːscreamingpineappleː

The idea behind a daily challenge game mode is to give you a small reason to come back once you've unlocked everything and completed every challenge.

Daily Challenge will change each day, selecting each day:

  • 1 of the 9 new arenas exclusive to this game mode, including an arena suggested by the community!

  • Ban 1-5 families from the day's object pools (will also disable random passive not linked to families and temporary objects)

  • 1 of the 20 game modifiers that will alter the way to play

  • 1 of the 4 new bosses exclusive to this game mode.

  • Golden Eyeballs have a 50% chance to be in each day's shop as a rare object (3-cost)

The Speed Limit Sign is the only object always removed from the Daily Challenge mode

The combination of all those elements creates a nearly infinite number of daily challenges that are generated each day. And of course, you can go into infinite mode in the daily challenge!

Unlock conditions: Acquire the Completion medal. The Daily Challenge is always available as soon as you have unlocked Challenges.

Other major changes

1... 2... Freeze!

You can now lock objects in the shop to purchase them at the next shop if you don't have enough money.

Crowded decks

To accommodate the Infinite mode, if you have more than 50 objects, your deck will now show only 1 copy of each object and the amount of each object above them. Notes from Steve: This should allow you to delete objects in the shop even when you have a lot of them

Drag and drop everywhere

In all non-gameplay screens, you can now drag all objects around.

Notes from Steve: Because why not

Balancing

Infinity sign, my beloved

The infinity sign now has a 70% chance of keeping Temporary objects in your deck when they are played (instead of a 100% chance).

Notes from Steve: The infinity sign was a bit too broken. While the game intends to have "game-breaking" objects, this nerf should still leave it with its strength, but stop making it an "instant-win" object

Luck sign, infinite possibilities

With the addition of new objects, the Luck Sign has been reworked, and odds have been changed:

Old Luck SignNew Luck Sign
Objects (x5)OddsObjects (x5)Odds
Eyeball17%Eyeball14%
Bomb17%Bomb14%
Heart17%Heart14%
Coin17%Coin14%
Christmas ball17%Christmas ball14%
Donut12%Bullet14%
Wheel3%Donut7%
Golden Eyeball5%
TNT1%
Bill1%
Wheel1%
Screw1%

Forbidden sign, not infinite anymore

To allow the existence of the Infinite mode, the forbidden sign has been capped to 999 objects, which should give you around 2500 points.

Bowling Ball and Bowling Pin reworked

Bowling Pins have been removed from the shop, and creating your first Bowling Ball each game will now add them to the shop. Strike medal now unlocks the Bullet and Curvy Road sign instead of the Bowling Pin

Notes from Steve: The Strike medal was the least rewarding medal in terms of unlock, so a rework was needed. While I like the Bowling Pin, they just pollute to shop and are rarely something you are happy to see in your shop. This change should improve the visibility of the other Epic objects (5-cost).

Ommetaphobia mode

The Ommetaphobiamode (Fear of eyeballs) has now been entirely implemented, with a new eyeball alternative skin and translation in every language

Bug fixes / Minor changes / Text updates

  • A new random list of objects can appear in the Menu

  • Sports balls, Strange Letters and Temporary Objects position in the Warehouse have been reworked/improved

  • Stevie Wonder achievement has been updated to 129 objects

  • Creating a second Train will no longer reset the arena position

  • Most texts where "Malus" was written have been replaced by "Wheel" to accommodate the existence of "Screws"

  • Bike wheel can now combine with donut

  • Typo on Whale Bomb fixed

A small message from Steve ːcringewatermelonː

Hi! First of all, sorry to disappoint, but I'm not really named Steve!

With this major update released, I will stop the development on Steve's Warehouse. Minor balancing and bug fixes update might follow this update, but that's about it. I feel the game is complete, and I am satisfied to leave it as such! Steve's Warehouse is a side project that I have built on my free time in two years with the help of one of my best friends, who created the wonderful art.

It has been a pleasure to create such a game and receive so much positive feedback from y'all! Last month, we reached the 10,000 copies sold, so I want to give you 10,000 THANKS for playing this weird little game! ːhappydonutː

Hope you will enjoy the update,

Definitely Named Steve
